Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson Break Up: Jodie Foster has had enough

Actress Jodie Foster took to the popular news and opinion website The Daily Beast on Wednesday, posting a thorough and heated message in regards to the infamous Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson cheating scandal. Her overall appeal: leave the two alone, the media has done enough in destroying both of their childhoods already.

Foster, who worked with an 11-year-old Stewart on the set of the 2002 thriller "Panic Room," defends the "Twilight" star throughout her post, claiming that the once carefree and boisterous young girl has transformed into a quiet, introverted young woman thanks to the negative impact of cameras being thrown in her face 24/7. Foster writes:

"...there's a little white-haired girl twirling in the surf. She's singing at the top of her lungs, jumping and spinning around in the cold water, all salty, sandy, full of joy and confidence. She's unconscious of the camera, of course, in her own world... She's perfect. She is absolutely perfect... Cut to: Today... A beautiful young woman strides down the sidewalk alone, head down, hands drawn into fists. She's walking fast, darting around huge men with black cameras thrusting at her mouth and chest. 'Kristen, how do you feel?'...  The young woman doesn't cry. F##k no. She doesn't look up. She's learned. She keeps her head down, her shades on, fists in her pockets. Don't speak. Don't look. Don't cry."

According to Foster, she would never be able to survive the modern-day world of Hollywood as a young actress - the demands are too harsh and the media too brutal. Foster claims:

"I've said it before and I will say it again: if I were a young actor today I would quit before I started. If I had to grow up in this media culture, I don't think I could survive it emotionally."

The Stewart/Pattinson break up has garnered so much drama and gossip among fans and media outlets, it's almost refreshing to hear such impactful words coming from a true Hollywood veteran. Foster ultimately closes her post in support of the general saying, "This too shall pass."
