As the Duggars gear up for another wedding this weekend, the 19 Kids & Counting couple Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard revealed that they had a covenant marriage.

This week viewers of the show witnessed the June 21 Arkansas wedding of the soon-to-be parents.

Now Fox News reports that the couple shared details of their wedding, including their choice to have a convenant marriage.

"I signed their covenant marriage certificate," Derick's mom Cathy, who was seen battling cancer at the time of her son's wedding, revealed to People Magazine. "It was so special. But it wouldn't matter if they chose that type of marriage certificate or not, those two would still have a covenant marriage."

A covenant marriage says that a couple will try to seek counseling before choosing to file for a divorce. It also gives the newlyweds a chance extend separation before they decided to legally divorce. This option is only provided in 3 states: Arizona, Arkansas, and Louisiana.

MStars News previously learned that the newlyweds are expecting their first child, a baby boy, in March 2015.

"We're open to as many children as God will give us," Jill shared with FOX & Friends.

"This is a time we have prayed for for 23 years," Jill's father Jim Bob revealed to People. "As Jill and I were out in the hallway waiting to come in, I thought about how Michelle and I got married 30 years ago. I couldn't hold back the tears thinking I was giving away my daughter. It was an exciting time, but it was also a time of a lot of emotion."

Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald are scheduled to be married this Saturday, November 1.
