George R.R. Martin may write the Game of Thrones books, but does he actually remember who says the lines he writes? The answer –– for the most part! Martin appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers alongside Parks and Recreation lead Amy Poehler just last night. After promoting her new memoir, Yes Please, Poehler and Meyers quizzed the author on who says what in the Game of Thrones series.

"We're going to find out tonight exactly how well you know your books," said the Late Night host, adding, "Amy's going to read a line you've written. You have to tell us the character who said the line. Let's see how you do."

Kicking off with some easy ones, including Melisandre's "The night is dark and full of terrors," or Cersei Lannister's "When you play the game of thrones, you live or you die," the game got a wee bit harder when the former Saturday Night Live players started cracking some jokes at the book series' expense.

Check out the segment below:

Following the real quotes, Poehler and Meyers couldn't help but joke around, filling the bit with quips about Poehler's drinking habits, a line from meteorologist Breeze Daniels and even Robb Stark's Aunt Patty's annoyance about not being invited to the Red Wedding.

To which Poehler joked, "You don't want to have her at any function. She's a real bummer!"
