Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson Break Up Just Momentary? Still Protecting Each Other
Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are taking a break from each other but that does not mean the couple will not get back together. Since the cheating scandal occured, every party involved have been very gentle and respective of each other. The cheaters Stewart and Rupert Sanders admitted their mistakes and apologized. The ones who were betrayed, Pattinson and Liberty Ross, have been quiet about the scandal and did not bash the cheaters. It's been pretty civilized. That gives Robsten fans some hope that once everything cools off, the couple may reunite stronger than before.
Pattinson has come out of hiding from Monday to promote his upcoming movie "Cosmopolis" on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Good Morning America with George Stephanopoulos and the New York Times with David Carr. Every interviewer gave it their best to get Pattinson to open up about Kristen Stewart, but with little success.
The latest interview with New York Times resulted in some interesting conversation with Pattinson.
When asked by Carr about America's infatuation with celebrities and fame, Pattinson responded "I think it's because America really wants to have a royal family."
Carr continued, "So if you and Kristen have trouble it's like Charles and Di having trouble?" Stewart's name brought a big old boo from the crowd while Pattinson thought about Carr's question.
Prince Charles and Lady Diana were the admired royal couple of Great Britain, but their fairytale romance was shattered when Charles cheated on Diana with his Camilla Parker Bowles.
Carr saved the atmosphere before it became awkward by saying, "I wasn't really going there, just so you know."
Pattinson responded, "No, I wouldn't really go that far" once again affirming that he does not plan to speak about or judge Stewart in public.
With this protective instinct surrounding Stewart's name, it could be that Pattinson still has some feelings for her.
When the scandal was first exposed, Stewart took all the blame for it and did not point her fingers at Pattinson.
"This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."
While many have criticized Kristen's public apology as a publicity stint to save her career, one thing to point out is that she has not blamed Pattinson. Many Hollywood couples who have cheated have blamed their significant others for causing them to feel lonely or bored enough to cheat. The two are still protecting each other in the midst of the drama.
Do you believe there is a chance that Hollywood's fairytale couple will get back together?
