The Big Bang Theory Season 8 Spoilers: The Gang Has Prom on the Roof

The next episode of Season 8 of The Big Bang Theory could be a significant one, as the gang will recreate one of the most common rites of passage for teenagers in America: the high school prom.

The episode, appropriately titled "The Prom Equivalency," features the four couples on the series throwing their own prom on the roof of the guys' apartment building. But of course, things will not run so smoothly, and Sheldon in particular is uncomfortable with the pressure he feels to take part in the romantic aspects of the event.

TVLine has posted four photos of the couples in their formal attire, and it appears that one of the guys is ducking out early. Check out the pictures here.

The clear highlight of the episode was Billy Bob Thornton as Penny's creepy doctor client who more or less stalked her because she flirted with him in order to make a sale. Leonard intercepted him and explained the whole situation, but things only spiraled out of control after Sheldon invited him in for a hot beverage.

In much the same way that Bob Newhart brought dryness to Professor Proton with his deadpan delivery, Thornton did a fantastic job playing Dr. Lorvis by acting as if every word out of his mouth was exhausting because his life is so miserable. He was creepy and pathetic all at once, and you went from pitying him to disliking him from scene to scene.
