Felicity Jones portrayed Felicia Hardy in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which led to much speculation that she would portray the Black Cat somewhere down the line. The actress stuns in the new issue of GQ Magazine and reveals she would love to play the character.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 made more than $708 million at the box office but was still the lowest grossing Spider-Man movie ever. The film was met with mixed critical and fan reviews to the point that the future of the franchise is in doubt.

Despite the uncertainty, Jones told GQ that she would be happy to portray the character.

"GQ: We read rumors that you're Amazing Spider-Man's Black Cat.

Jones: Being vacuum-paced into a leather suit, doing backflips?! I'd love that. Can you start a petition for me?"

MTV News spoke to Alex Kurtzman in September about the future of the franchise. Kurtzman is set to direct the Venom spinoff, which rumors say will be called Venom/Carnage. The film does not have a release date yet. "The idea is that you can do things with Venom that you can't do with Spider-Man," he said. "Venom is the representation of every line that will get crossed. He's a much darker character."
