Andy Dick Arrested For Alleged Grand Theft of Strangers Necklace
Troubled actor and comedian Andy Dick was arrested Friday (November 8) for grand theft after allegedly stealing a man's necklace in Hollywood.
The Los Angeles Times reports that the former 48-year-old "Celebrity Rehab" cast member was taken into custody at 11:10 p.m., and then posted a $25,000 bail just after 5 a.m, Saturday, according to LAPD Lt. Scott Murray and Los Angeles County Jail records.
According to TMZ, the former Dancing with the Stars contestant was riding his bike in Hollywood last week when he stopped a stranger to ask him about his chain. The man recognized Dick and let him see his necklace. Dick then allegedly rode off with the man's $1,000 necklace!
Dick is known to make headlines in the matter of arrests and public intoxications. In 2011, the comedian was arrested for public intoxication at a Temecula Marie Callendar's. In 2010, Dick was arrested in the early morning hours in West Virginia on charges of sexual abuse after reportedly groping a bartender and patron.
Dick's legal troubles have even stemmed back to the late 90's when he drove his car into a utility pole in Hollywood where he was charged with possession of cocaine and cannabis.
