On screen mom, Claire Dunphey (played by Julie Bowen) opened up about her on screen daughter, Haley Dunphey's (Sarah Hyland) abusive relationship scandal that resulted in a restraining order from now ex-boyfriend Matt Prokop.

"Oh my God Sarah is great," Bowen updated Us Weekly at the Baby2Baby Gala Saturday, November, 8 in Culver City regarding Hyland's status.

"I personally made a million dating mistakes when I was young. I didn't live in the public eye, and my life was totally different than say Sarah's, I mean this is strictly about me," Bowen goes on to compare her mistakes to her TV daughters. "I made so many mistakes, but I made them when I was young, didn't get married, didn't have babies, and moved on."

As Mstars News reported, Hyland has been relying on her co-stars and focusing on work to get her thru these hard times. Bowen has been a staple in Hyland's incident, even coming to her house after Prokop allegedly choked and verbally abused Sarah.

"I think the time to make them [mistakes], like your twenties are for really just efing up. And I think that actually you know Sarah is not even 25," Bowen said. "And she's already way ahead of where I ever was, so she's in great shape and she didn't do anything to eff anything up."

As reports have surfaced, the 23-year-old Modern Family star has been holding up pretty well, calling herself a "positive person." Even though she allegedly told the court that she was "scared and in fear for my life."

All things considered, Bowen is a great TV mom, on and off screen.
