Looks like whoever said The Wolverine was only a fictional character is clearly in the wrong! Hugh Jackman recently shared an intense workout video of him lifting an insane amount of weight at the gym. While doing so, trainers yelled at the X-Men film star to keep doing more reps.

"Getting closer to my PB. 435 DON'T TOUCH IT!!" the Australian actor captioned his Instagram photo.

The X-Men: Apocalypse actor is looking mighty strong and manly in the video, but our Wolverine hasn't been immune to illness this past year. As MStars News reported, Jackman went in for treatment for his basal cell carcinoma skin cancer in October, making this his third time undergoing the treatment.

"The beauty of this is it's all preventable, it's just about getting proper check-ups," he said. "I can be a typical man, a little lazy, I couldn't be bothered and now I'm not lazy at all."

Before his current 435-pound deadlift clip, he took to his Instagram this August to video an impressive 400-pound deadlift. The video soon went viral!

"Even Blackbeard does deadlifts. Training with David Kingsbury #180kgs #PAN," he captioned the photo.

Jackman's trainer Kingsbury helps keep the deadlift pumping wolverine in tiptop shape.

"A healthy lifestyle is generally easier to follow for a celebrity than it is for others," he told Travel Strong. "They have the support of a trainer to help organize food and training when travelling, and when on set they generally will have a chef who can prepare their meals. Motivation is still key, though — as long as there is motivation anyone can achieve great results."
