Lucasfilm's 'Strange Magic' First Look Photo - Disney's New Property Enters Animated Feature World

Strange Magic is a brand new animated feature from Lucasfilm, which we all know is now under the Disney umbrella. Taking queues from its parent company's cartoon wheelhouse, it looks like the Kathleen Kennedy-run studio is getting ready to throw its hat into the animated movie ring and have a fun new film based on Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream to take the cake! Alan Cumming, Evan Rachel Wood, Kristin Chenoweth, Maya Rudolph, Alfred Molina and Elijah Kelley provide the voices for this highly anticipated film, which is based off of a story from George Lucas.

"Strange Magic," a new animated film from Lucasfilm Ltd., will be released by Touchstone Pictures on January 23, 2015. "Strange Magic" is a madcap fairy tale musical inspired by "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Popular songs from the past six decades help tell the tale of a colorful cast of goblins, elves, fairies and imps, and their hilarious misadventures sparked by the battle over a powerful potion.
