Drew Barrymore is an actress, author, beauty guru and wine creator. The 39-year-old star's latest venture is her wine brand Barrymore Wines. Her newest bottle is Barrymore Carmel Road Pinot Grigio. The Charlie's Angels actress is now opening up about her wine venture and her love of food, plus she reveals what she likes to make in the kitchen.

The mother-of-two has always had a passion for food and wine, but that doesn't mean she's always been good in the kitchen. "I don't pretend that I do things well, or that I have things to teach people; I don't. I look like an unsexy, frazzled freak in the kitchen," Drew told People at the launch of her latest wine.

"When I started having kids I just didn't want to accept that from myself, that I would just be looking at them with a terrified, blank stare. I wanted to be able to cook for them," she noted.

In July 2013, the actress explained the origin of her food obsession in an interview with Bon Appetit magazine. "I became obsessed with food sometime in the last decade. I'm pretty late to the game. I'm such an avid magazine reader – music, art, beauty magazines – and I found that food and restaurants were pouring into everything I cared about. Whether it was the pop-up concept, or some mysterious mini-mall restaurant, I got swept up in the sexy romance of the food movement," the 50 First Dates star told Bon Appetit.

Since her interest in food has grown so has her confidence in the kitchen. Now that she has two girls to cook for she has upped her cooking game. "My daughter really likes the salmon I make her. I've learned to cook it at the perfect temperature and make a really nice sear on the top," she told People. "I'm always proud when I'm making that for her because I'm like, 'honey, I wouldn't have known how to cook salmon before you were born to save my life!'"

As for her own tastes in food, Drew revealed that if she could live off of pasta, she definitely would. "If I could eat pasta morning, noon and night I would make a scrambled egg breakfast pasta, I would make a pesto for lunch and a spicy vodka sauce for dinner," the Flower Beauty creator confessed.

With pasta comes lots of wine. The ET actress' wine collection features a Pinot Grigio, but she has more wine selections in mind for the future. "I've always loved Pinot Grigio. Next up, I'd love to find myself in Provence for rosé, or Argentina looking for a Malbec, or maybe back to Italy for one of the three B's [Barbaresco, Barolo, and Barbera]," Drew revealed to Bon Appetit.
