New 'Destiny' Maintenance Update This Week - Offline For Several Hours
After the recent announcement of Destiny 2 being in the works, Bungie Studios shared a news update stating that the popular 2014 title will be going offline for a few hours due to maintenance. This means that players will not be able to go online for Destiny gameplay for a number of hours this week, but hopefully this will be the last time this happens for quite some time.
This maintenance will make sure that new expansions and DLC will run smoothly in the future. According to IGN, this maintenance will run from 8 AM PST to 12 PM PST on Nov. 13, 2014.
"This totally planned service outage will enable us to prepare for the arrival of a series of updates planned for the next few weeks. During this time, you'll be unable to play Destiny. We're sorry about the interruption, but it's for the greater good," Bungie said this week. "Once services are restored, your experience as a player will be unchanged. The updates we're making will be on our side, so you won't need to download or install a new batch of content."
