It is a great day to be a Gilmore Girls fan. The WB series was just selected to take part in the ATX Television Festival's Season 4 Fest this summer, meaning that viewers are about to see Lorelei and Rory together again for the first time in eight years. But that's not all! Lauren Graham, one of the stars of the long-running series, also revealed that she is open to doing a follow up series or movie based on the show, should fans want it.

And we can speak for everyone when we say, WE WANT IT!

Relive the glory days of Gilmore Girls with this clip below:

The show, which starred Graham and Alexis Bledel, ran for 7 seasons on the WB and amassed a huge cult following during its time on air. Creator Amy Palladino released a statement expressing her excitement for the panel discussion.

"So after years of peace and quiet these lunatics have chosen to get the chattiest chicks in the world back under one roof? Really? Okay," she jokingly stated. "I can't wait to sit with these unbelievable broads and relive a time where sleep did not exist where stress and coffee were mama's little helpers and where we all dove into the deep end together to make something weird and very very cool."

According to E! News, who spoke to Graham, the actress explained that she is starting to "weirdly crave" a mother-daughter reunion with her onscreen child.

"Now I sort of weirdly crave it," the actress revealed, saying that she has taken to Netflix to watch some of the episodes that the Internet streaming service put up earlier this year. "I have seen some of it and I love that kind of language and that athleticism."

Since the fast-paced series was put on the streaming service, it seems that it has brought diehard fans together with first time watchers and it seems that everyone is craving the onscreen reunion.

"That was so cool," Lauren said after hearing the outpour of support after the show debuted on Netflix. "I owe everything to that show. So for people to continue to find it is endlessly gratifying. That was a very big deal in my life, and now with more distance and not working 18-hour days, I can appreciate it more."

Here's to hoping a TV reunion wont be too far off.
