Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, met One Direction on Thursday at the Royal Variety Performance. For the momentous occasion of meeting Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, and Harry Styles, Middleton chose a floor-length, black lace gown from Diane von Furstenberg, paired with a fancy updo. It's certainly a safe option, though since she was with her husband and father of her children (who also happens to be a Prince), William, it seems appropriate.

According to Fashionista, Harry Styles wore a leopard jacket by Saint Laurent and black skinny jeans for the occasion. He also told The Mirror that he shared a few words with Middleton about her second baby.
"I said congratulations on the bump," he said. "(Though) she didn't look bumpy."
