Floyd Mayweather & Kobe Bryant Retiring After LA Lakers Lose To NBA Champions San Antonio Spurs: Amir Khan & Manny Pacquiao Bout

Floyd Mayweather only has a couple of fights left until he decides to retire, and it seems his passion has crossed over to his pal Kobe Bryant. Mayweather, as he often does, was in attendance for the big game, as the San Antonio Spurs visited the L.A. Lakers, but he failed to bring them any luck. However, Kobe has insisted he's jealous of the NBA title holders, and that he'll never give up on adding more accomplishments to his long list of achievements. While Floyd prepares for a Amir Khan and/or Manny Pacquiao bout, and the Lakers try and figure it out, one can wonder, are these two sporting legacies best left in the past?

When asked what he thought of the Spurs' continuity and success, he said, "I'm extremely jealous of that. I don't know if I can express to you how jealous I am of the fact that Tim [Duncan], Tony [Parker], Manu [Ginobili] and Pop [Spurs coach Gregg Popovich] have all been together for all those years. Like, I can't even ... I can't express to you how jealous I am of that. Not all this up-and-down stuff. It would be like if me, Pau [Gasol], L.O. and Phil [N'dou], if we were all just here, still. It's crazy. That longevity is freaking crazy."

However, all good things must come to and end, and although Kobe and Floyd have dominated their sports, the pair have admitted they've probably only got a year or two left, with only a small window left for more success. However, they'll both be remembered as two of the greatest sporting stars to ever grace their games. Bryant isn't quitting yet, though, saying, "I want to get another crack before it's all said and done. I would love to play the Spurs in the playoffs one more time, you know what I mean? As a competitor, you want to have the most [titles], but at the same time, it's well-deserved. I'm not giving up any tips,"

Will Kobe and Floyd continue to dominate their sports, or would they be best pursuing something else in their later years?
