Damian Lillard and LeBron James have both been awarded the "Player of the Month" NBA award, but could the Portland Trail Blazers' star replace the Cleveland Cavaliers' icon, taking over his legacy, and the empty spot he and Dwyane Wade are leaving in the Miami Heat team? James is committed to the Cavs, and Wade will soon set off into retirement with his new wife Gabrielle Union, but could Lillard soon be the replacement for James in both ways?

James and Lillard were announced as the POTW, and both are two of the biggest stars the game can offer. However, James will be in retirement before Lillard enters his prime. Many have linked him with a move to the Heat, to replace Wade in a few years time, but would he be good enough to take over?

He admitted that he has to get better to dominate the league, saying, "Um, I just want to be better. You know, I think, in pick and roll situations, I watched film of myself a lot before camp started with one of the coaches and it was a distance between me and the guy I was guardin' so it was hard to get over pick and rolls so, um, just trying to get better at angles, being more physical, stuff like that."

Lillard and James will continue to tear the NBA up, but will they soon swap places when James calls it a day? You never know, but for now, there's just enough room for the both of them.
