Pop star Carly Rae Jepsen has never experienced a bad kiss - maybe that helped to inspire the name of her highly anticipated upcoming album "Kiss." In an interview with MTV News, Jepsen talks about her new album, shares details about her first kiss, and admits that she wouldn't mind sharing a smooch with "Drive" actor Ryan Gosling.

The "Call Me Maybe" singer tells MTV News, "I waited for my first kiss. I waited until I was 17, and he was a jazz singer named Brenden Call. Nice guy, sweet guy. We still keep in touch on Facebook. "Jepsen giggles and smiles as she recalls the memory.

When asked to describe her worst kiss, Jepsen admits that she has yet to experience one (yet being the key word here) - "I have a couple of girlfriends who've told me some horror stories but I've never had a really terrible kiss before."

In a game of "who would you rather kiss," Jepsen jumps at the mentioning of Hollywood heartthrob Ryan Gosling. Before the interviewer even has the chance of announcing Gosling's "competitor" Ryan Reynolds, Jepsen exclaims, "Ryan Gosling! I didn't even hear the other one. Ryan Gosling. Hello..."

Wonder if Jepsen is sending the message, "Call me maybe, Ryan?"

"Kiss," Jepsen's follow-up album to "Tug of War," will be released on Sept. 18.
