'Doctor Who' Season 9, 2015 Episodes Spoilers - Peter Capaldi Talks Future, New TARDIS Set, Says He'll Stay In 12 Role "For A While"
2014 featured the debut season of Peter Capaldi as the 12th Doctor in BBC's hit series, Doctor Who. We've learned that the impressive season 8 episodes were a hit for the series and the network, so now we want to know how long Capaldi will remain in the show! According to a new interview, he wants to pilot the TARDIS "for a while" to come! (SPOILERS to follow)
During An Afternoon with Mark Gatiss and Friends this past weekend, Capaldi revealed that he hopes to remain in his current job for quite some time.
"At the end of the day, the job is all-consuming, it's a factory - a Doctor Who factory! I get to run up and down corridors, escape through ventilation shafts and fight Daleks," he said, according to Den of Geek. "But it is every day for eight months and you can get tired; you keep trying to come up with ideas. And sometimes you run out of ideas."
He added: "If I did have an ambition it would be not to regenerate for a while."

Capaldi does have one idea for the future, too: changing the TARDIS up a bit!
"I have to say, the BBC are very responsible with license payer's money," he said, according to Cult Box. "So they feel if they've spent a certain amount of money on a certain amount of props, then they won't get rid of those props until they've been used. This applies equally to the TARDIS. It's essentially Matt's."
