Over the weekend actress Jessica Alba documented on Twitter her transformation into "Sin City" alter ego Nancy Callahan, trading in her natural chestnut brown locks for a dirty blonde do'.

In preparation for her upcoming role as exotic dancer-turned criminal Nancy Callahan in the follow-up film to 2005's "Sin City" ("Sin City: A Dame to Kill For"), Alba paid some visits to L.A.'s Estilo Salon.

Alba first hinted to fans that she was preparing to undergo a total hair makeover with a tweet on Thursday, stating:

‏@jessicaalba: "Stage 1 -ok it doesn't look that different but it's a process!"

She later sent out a tweet on Saturday along with this Instagram image:

@jessicaalba: "Stage 2 of #SinCity2 Nancy hair."

She then revealed the total transformation on Sunday, in perfect Nany Callahan-esque form:

@jessicaalba: "What a way to start the day -training for a movie is sorta fun."

Hairstylist-to-the-stars Robert Ramos lightened Alba's hair using ombre shading - a light-to-dark technique where darker roots blend into a lightened mid-shaft and end.

So what do you think of Alba's new lighter do'? Is it comparable to Miley Cyrus' fresh and funky platinum blonde pixie cut?
