Wednesday night (Dec. 3), Charlotte Hornets center Cody Zeller showed Chicago Bulls center Pau Gasol that young legs jump higher. They jump stronger. They jump better.

Zeller posterized the 34-year-old Gasol with a monster two-handed slam after taking a bounce pass from Lance Stephenson in transition. Gasol attempted to block Zeller with both hands, but ended up getting the back of his head stuffed into the net as Zeller used his momentum to finish high and strong.

The 7-foot tall Zeller was the fourth overall pick in 2013 by the Bobcats out of Indiana University. He averaged 6.0 points and 4.3 rebounds per game as a rookie, and this year is averaging 8.5 points and 5.2 rebounds per game, according to Basketball-Reference.com.

Gasol is a 13-year veteran who won two NBA championships with the Los Angeles Lakers.

But as Cody Zeller can attest to, his best days are behind him.

Zeller's stampede to the basket and through Gasol inspired the Bobcats' bench to erupt in excitement, along with the rest of The Time Warner Cable Arena.

But Gasol got the last laugh, as his 19 points and 15 rebounds led the Bulls to a 102-95 win. Gasol was even named player of the game by the Chicago Tribune.

Even so, Zeller's slam over Gasol will live on.

Watch the ridiculous dunk here, before it becomes a GIF.

Too late.
