During last night's episode of The Colbert Report, host Stephen Colbert welcomed in director Christopher Nolan to discuss his newest Matthew McConaughey-led film Interstellar. Before he could get to his guest, however, the host took some time to announce that his Comedy Central hit has merely ten episodes left before leaving to take over the Late Show spot on CBS. Therefore, he thought it best to "tackle a subject" he'd been avoided for the past nine years whilst in the Report seat: abortion. Yes, at long last Stephen Colbert was about to announce that life begins at –– oh, look, Amy Sedaris showed up!

That's right, folks. Colbert's old pal from his Strangers with Candy days showed up to not only say goodbye to her longtime friend but also announce that she had a bone to pick with the late night host... like the fact that she was bumped from The Colbert Report guest spot for someone else –– Christopher Nolan!

Oh snap...

"I'm the guest on your show this evening, remember?" asked Sedaris. To which Colbert admitted that Nolan was actually the guest. Apparently, the actress was well aware.

"Yeah, I know. Because you bumped me!" And despite a number of denials from Colbert, it looks like the bump was his doing. Womp, womp, womp. But as he said, "If you can't bump old friends, who can you bump?"

In the end, everything worked out just fine because Sedaris ended her segment by talking about Nolan's newest film Interstellar. Yep, really.

Check out the hilarious interaction between Colbert and Sedarish below:

So, given the clip shown during the segment, who is down for finally seeing Interstellar?

Keep up with The Colbert Report at 11:30 p.m. on Comedy Central... for just a couple more weeks!
