ESPN Analyst Mark Schlereth Jokes Denver Broncos Could Beat Buffalo Bills "100 To 0"

Is this analysis or just good TV? Common sense points to the latter when referring to ESPN personality Mark Schlereth's recent comments during a NFL Week 14 preview segment. In making his weekend picks, Schlereth picked his former team, the Denver Broncos, to defeat the Buffalo Bills this weekend. He didn't give the Bills much respect, sarcastically remarking they could lose by 100 points.

You would think he was talking about a last place team. But the Bills are 7-5 and contenders for an AFC playoff spot thanks in large part to a defense led by AFC Defensive Player of the Month Mario Williams.

The lack of respect is something the perennial underdog team is getting used to overcoming.

"We've been underdogs to teams who have been 2-8, so we're kind of used to it," Bills defensive end Jerry Hughes told Matt Fairburn of Syracuse.com. "We don't put too much into effect about what other people outside of this building are going to grade us or anything like that. We just come to work and we work hard, and I think that's showing off on the field on Sundays. I think for us, it's continue to just come to work and keep working hard."

Syracuse.com reported the Bills started as 10-point underdogs against might Peyton Manning and the Broncos.

The Broncos sit at 9-3 and in first place in the AFC West, while Manning is third in the NFL with 3737 passing yards.

The Bills will have more than just the five time league MVP to deal with this weekend. The Broncos' defense will be healthy, as cornerback Aqib Talib told the Denver Post he's "ready to roll" after a hamstring injury.
