Mario Balotelli Charged For Premier League Racism

Mario Balotelli has been a troubled star for Liverpool, and despite claiming he meant nothing by it, the FA has charged the Barclays English Premier League star with racism. He reposted a picture of Super Mario with some offensive words alongside it, and although he denied any wrongdoing, the FA has deemed otherwise. The Reds' patience is wearing thin, and this charge could see him pushed out of the exit-door.

He posted the words "jumps like a black man and grabs coins like a Jew" alongside the picture. He said that sharing the image as "my unlucky moment." However, the star forward soon changed his tune: "I apologize if I've offended anyone."

"We acknowledge the FA's decision and the player will work through the process to answer the charge," the club said this week, in the wake of the news. "While that process is on-going the club will make no further comment."

Balotelli can appeal the decision, but the FA aren't willing to back down. They explained, "It is alleged the Liverpool player breached FA Rule E3[1] in that his posting was abusive and/or insulting and/or improper. It is further alleged that this is an 'Aggravated Breach' as defined by FA Rule E3[2] as it included a reference to ethnic origin and/or colour and/or race and/or nationality and/or religion or belief."

The Italian is yet again in hot water, and there's no way out for the star, but will Liverpool find a way out for good for the forward? Time will tell, but it's not looking good for Super Mario, as he calls himself.
