Mayim Bialik plays a geeky neuroscientist on the hit CBS show The Big Bang Theory but in real life she's hip with what's trending, and, get this ... she doesn't even watch TV!

"I don't watch TV," the star told People magazine. I don't have cable, so I couldn't watch TV if I tried. I like to point out that I'm paid to be an actor, not to be a watcher."

The former Blossom star joined the cast of The Big Bang Theory in the season 3 finale as Dr. Amy Fowler and the potential love interest for Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons.) By mid-season 5 she became a main part of the cast. She represents her role as a neurobiologist, which corresponds to Bialik's real-life educational background. With that in mind, Bialik is no nerd!

"It was [Meghan Trainor's] 'All About That Bass,'" she told People magazine of the last song that she sang. "The only people that get to hear me sing songs like that are either my sons [Miles, 9, and Fred, 6] or myself. I know all the words. I'm the mom that sings along to Katy Perry."

However, one singer that Bialik is not so fond of is Ariana Grande and her recent explicit billboard ad which Bialik was not shy to post her opinions about. "Why is she in her underwear on this billboard though?" she posted on a blog. "If she has talent (is she a singer?), then why does she have to sell herself in lingerie?"
