The Season 2 midseason finale of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., entitled "What They Become," has received widespread acclaim from critics and fans. The action-packed hour answered many questions about Skye, her father, and the mystery of the alien city, but it also raised more questions for fans to consider.

We now know for certain (probably) that Skye is Daisy Johnson, a Marvel character also known as Quake, while her father is Calvin Zabo. The episode ended with Skye seemingly transforming into a powered creature, as did Raina. And Tripp, not one of the chosen ones, turned to stone and crumbled to dust.

So what happens next? The "Spoiler Room" column at EW.com has some information.

"I can't believe that Skye is Daisy Johnson on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.! How will the rest of the team feel about that? - Derek
Well, Cal did say that everyone would eventually be afraid of her. 'He has his reasons for saying that,' executive producer Jed Whedon says. 'Maybe it's based on experience. We'll learn that he's obviously a crazy person, but a lot of what he says isn't that crazy.'"

Writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Gabriele Dell'Otto created Daisy Johnson, who first appeared in Secret War #2 in July 2004. In the comics, she is a superhuman with seismic powers and is the illegitimate daughter of the villain Mister Hyde. S.H.I.E.L.D. director Nick Fury takes her in and watches over her.
