Robin Roberts Cancer Survivor Fights New MDS Diagnosis, Special Bracelet Made

Robin Roberts cancer story of survival is inspirational, yet after overcoming breast cancer she now has to tackle MDS. An emotional exit from Good Morning America on Thursday August 30, 2012 showed Roberts trying to stay strong for others.  Her doctor has given her encouragement that she will make it through the bone marrow transplant she will undergo next week and be back on the show recovered.

A special bracelet has been designed to give people an opportunity to support Robin Roberts as well as other cancer victims. The bracelet that retails for $5 is available on the Be The Match website where people can sign up to be donors for patients.

Much support has flooded with thousands of people flocking to purchase the bracelet to show support.  

#TeamRobin became a No 1 trending topic on Thursday when she made her final appearance on GMA.  

Roberts admitted that she is "very blessed."  

"Forty percent of Americans can't even take a sick day. And here, Disney, ABC News have been phenomenal in their support, and I know that I'm going to have a job when I come back. And just the comfort. And I know that is not the norm. And I am so incredibly grateful," she expressed.

She said she'll be back on GMA after recovery.
