Bill Cosby Dead: Hoax-Founder's Ego Grows, Calls Followers 'Idiots'

The recent August 2012 Bill Cosby Twitter death hoax has not been the star's first. In fact, it looks to be his fifth, following the same morbid trend that took off on the internet last August. Although the latest "R.I.P Bill Cosby" Facebook page seems to have been taken down, it still existed long enough to garner thousands of "likes" on the popular social networking website and produce a huge, panicky uproar on Twitter. And it appears that the current hoaxster feels no guilt in spreading such a horrible rumor, but instead enjoys basking in his death-hoax glory.

After causing a worldwide anxiety which prompted many "Bill Cosby Show" fans to believe that the beloved 75-year-old funny man was indeed dead, the August 2012 rumor-starter updated his "R.I.P Bill Cosby" profile to read, "Bill Cosby is not dead you idiots." He then goes on to mock fans of the page, blasting them for so readily trusting in everything they read and follow on social media sites.

After word began to surface that the Facebook tribute page was actually false, many people began posting rather vulgar comments aimed at the hoaxter's motives. The "R.I.P. Bill Cosby" founder fired back with a post which read, "[Y]ou should be ashamed. You can call me the king of the internet at this point. And, to all the people calling me an attention whore, I AM LOL THANKS FOR THE ATTENTION."

Let this be a lesson to all social media fans. It might be smart to double-check - meaning maybe even do some more research into a subject -  before trending #RIP(enter-celebrity-name-here). Bill Cosby is currently alive and happy!
