Johnny Manziel To Cleveland Fans: 'Humble & Eager,' Heisman Winner Says Time To 'Kick Feet Up A Little'

Johnny Manziel is probably the most polarizing player in the NFL. And on Monday (Dec. 29), the final day of the NFL season, it seemed like he couldn't even agree with himself.

Manziel posted a video to Bleacher Report in which he addressed the fans. The entire time he seemed hesitant to commit to either what he was supposed to say and what he was really feeling. As a result, the end product felt forced and disingenuous, like an "I'm sorry" text message.

"Its been an interesting day for me, finishing up wrapping up my rookie season," Manziel said. "It's been one that I would call it a rookie season. A lot of ups, a lot of downs too at the same time. A lot of lessons learned — some the easy way, some the hard. I sit here today with a clear mind and a clear heart moving forward knowing I have to try to get better to better myself and better the people around me and really work hard this offseason."

OK, OK. Sounds like Manziel, who was recently fined for throwing a party before the last game of the season (according to ESPN), is saying all the right things. But wait ... it doesn't take long for the real Johnny to come out.

"Obviously it's a time to relax and kick my feet up a little bit," he continues. "I deserve a little bit of a break at the same time."

Wait, wait. Hold on a second. Manziel is right. He deserves a break. After all, he did play in TWO games this season for the Browns, attempting a total of 35 passes. Whew! He must be absolutely spent.

"The struggles that come with being a rookie and not having it all figured out right away have made me humble and eager to work harder to give you and give everyone what they deserve Cleveland fans," Manziel continued.

Humble and eager. Let's see how long it takes for him to hit up Drake.
