In a Wednesday morning appearance on "Live! With Kelly and Michael," pop star Demi Lovato admits to not being the biggest fan of her current 12 tattoos. The "Give Your Heart a Break" songstress claims that many of her ink decisions were bad mistakes made in youthful spur-of-the-moment acts, and that she'd maybe consider getting them laser-removed sometime in the future. But for now, it's not something that the "X-Factor" judge is really taking the time out of her busy schedule to worry or fret about.

While showing off her various ink, 20-year-old Lovato stated, ''I've thought about [laser removal] before because, you know, when I get older I don't know if I want to have rock and roll on my middle finger. 'I'm young and I can rock it now and when I get older I can worry about it later.''

Referring to one tat - an image of her friend's lips inked right on her wrist - Lovato says, ''It was just a spur of the moment, stupid decision.''

While the former Disney star may not dig all of her skin designs, she is a fan of her ever-changing hairstyles. When talking about her new platinum blonde do', Lovato claims, "I think this is my favorite right now. Just because, you know, it's the color I have right now and I don't feel like changing it.'

Lovato also opened up to Ripa and new "Live!" co-host Strahan about her stint in rehab, and how she was relieved to find out about her bipolar disorder:

"I was like, 'oh my gosh, that means I'm not really crazy, there's a reason.' And it was just so awesome to be able to pinpoint a diagnosis for the reasons why I was extremely happy and in, like, a euphoric state, and the next month I was in, like, a deep depression."

Lovato admitted that she knew she had to enter rehab when her inner struggles began to turn physical:

"I got into a situation in a different country when I actually ended up hitting one of my friends. I was just going through something so dark and I was very very mentally sick. So, you know, when I ended after leaving the tour my parents had planned an intervention."

But now the "Unbroken" star is back in the Hollywood limelight, as strong and healthy as ever. Following a pre-VMA performance in L.A. Thursday night and her judging stint on the second season of "X-Factor," Lovato plans to head back to the studio to record a fourth album. Fans be sure to keep an ear out for a new single to be released sometime in December.
