Jerry 'King' Lawler Dead? No, Wrestler Recovering From Heart Attack, Will Undergo Surgery

Has Jerry Lawler 'The King' died from the heart attack that occurred last night?  No, he is not dead, however the 62-year-old pro wrestler is recovering at the local hospital in Quebec, Canada.  Lawler stunned his colleagues when he suddenly collapsed during the Monday taping of WWE Monday Night Raw and was rushed to the hospital.  He is reportedly in stable condition and breathing on his own at the moment.

Some rumors spread that the wrestler has faced his death, following the footsteps of the late Michael Clarke Duncan, but it is not true.  'The King' is due to have heart surgery on Tuesday, September 11, 2012.

His girlfriend Lauryn McBride wrote on her Facebook page, "I'm getting on the first flight out of here to be with him and will keep everyone posted."

World Wrestling Entertainments released a statement of concern and hope on Tuesday morning according to WISTV.

"We are hopeful Jerry makes a full recovery and returns to WWE in the near future. Our thoughts are with Jerry and his family," it read.

Twitter fans are expressing their heartfelt concerns as well.
