Jerry Lewis Dead? People Wonder About His Whereabouts After Being Ousted by MDA

Is Jerry Lewis dead?  Fans are wondering where the 86-year-old comedian is after being ousted by the MDA.  It has been a very different Labor Day for many Americans who missed the traditional format of the annual MDA 2012 fundraising telethon that usually ran live for 21.5 hours.  This year, it was a three hour pre-taped show.

According to the manager, the entire marketing strategy to attract donations adjusted to the social media internet age.  That means, Jerry Lewis does not fit into the picture.

Some websites claim that Lewis has passed away, however there has been no coverage on his apparent death in legitimate websites.  It is safe to say that Lewis is indeed alive.

Lewis has battled with health problems for many years though.  According to the Daily Mail, he had been declared clinically dead from a heart attack back in 1982 and was struck with prostate cancer ten years after that.  A few years after that, he was hit with Type 1 diabetes.  

Despite his illnesses, he continued to rally to support those affected by MDS for over 40 years.  It was unfortunate to see him split from the organization.  Long live Jerry Lewis!
