Bob Lambert died unexpectedly on Friday September 7, 2012 at his Glendale, California home. He was age 55. The cause of his death is still unnamed.
Lambert is well known as a digital pioneer in a world that is rapidly developing every moment. He was the senior technology executive at Disney for over 25 years before he left in 2010.
"I am deeply saddened by the passing of Bob Lambert. A pioneer for both the creative and tech communities, Bob led us into the transition from celluloid film to digital, and forever improved the quality of our films and our movie-watching experience," read the statement from Motion Picture
