Despite losing the Super Bowl, Seattle Seahawks short-lived frown turned into smile after his girlfriend, Ashley Lillian Moss, welcomed their newborn son, Rayden, According to Sports Illustrated's Peter King.

Still on cloud nine, the NFL star tweeted, "Haven't felt anything better than this! Thank you God such a blessing!"

The Stanford alum tweeted about the newborn's entrance into the world just days after his super Bowl loss writing, "Thank you God for giving us the opportunity.... That's all you can ask for....Thank you everyone for the support all year" he added, "My son sure does know how to make an entrance! 2/5/15... Is it a coincidence or is he just that clever?! Either way I'm ecstatic."

Before the big game day, the Athlete told ESPN that he wasn't worried about his girlfriend going into labor, "I think he's going to be a disciplined young man and stay in there until after the game." He gushed, "He's going to do his father his first favor and stay in there for another week or two."

When asked what he would do if his girlfriend Ashley Lillian Moss went into a labor during the Sunday night game, "That's a topic of debate?" Sherman said. "I'm focused on the game. He's not supposed to come on Sunday. If he does, that would change some things. I've thought about the possibility of his coming during the game or coming before the game."

The NFL star said that he wouldn't mind if his son followed in his footprints and played football, "Oh, 100 percent," he said. "Football probably will be the first or second sport he plays. People talk about the negative aspects of football, but there also are a lot of positives you learn as a kid. I don't know many 7- and 8-year-olds in Pop Warner are running into each other full speed and getting concussions. Kids aren't brave enough at that age."
