Honey Boo Boo Finale: Sister 'Chickadee' Gives Birth to Baby with Three Thumbs and more [DETAILS]
The season finale of TLC's new smash hit reality show "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" aired Wednesday evening, just in time for fans to meet the newest addition to the wacky southern fam - Alana 'Honey Boo Boo's' older sister Anna 'Chickadee' gave birth to her 6 lbs., 2 oz. daughter Kaitlyn, who arrived baring something a little extra special - two thumbs on her right hand (that's right, baby Kaitlyn has three thumbs).
On the first season finale of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo," pregnant 17-year-old Anna began feeling stomach pains so she was rushed to the hospital. Mama June Thompson made sure to remind Anna and viewers that teenage pregnancy isn't a very glorious thing - while 'Chickadee' lies in her hospital bed writhing in pain, June lightly reminds her eldest daughter that giving birth is the most painful thing a woman can go through. Even so, 'Chickadee' seems to experience a relatively easy labor, with baby Kaitlyn arriving just three hours later by way of the "Biscuit Express" (using 7-year-old Alana's clever expression). As if welcoming another member of the wild Thompson crew into the world wasn't already exciting enough, turns out that Kaitlyn was born with "something special" (as June puts it). And that "something special" is a spare thumb on her tiny right hand. The Thompson's fully accept the unique physical "deformity," with sister 'Chubbs' giving Kaitlyn a "six five" and father 'Sugar Bear' stating that, "Having that extra thumb reminds me of a Swiss Army knife."

Although Mama June initially had doubts as to whether young Anna was ready for the trials of motherhood, turns out 'Chickadee' has taken to her new role quite well (other than the fact that she was spotted pouring an energy drink into baby Kaitlyn's pacifier. Some other highlights of the 'Honey Boo Boo' season finale: Alana competes in the Miss Sparkle and Shine pageant - although she's a huge fan-favorite, she doesn't even place in the top three. But there is a plus side; Alana finally reunites with Glitzy the pig! The Thompson clan also takes part in a family portrait photo shoot... the idea is entertaining enough, but watching it take place is even better. And finally, "Honey Boo Boo" fans got to meet Uncle Poodle, another eccentric member of the Thompson fam. Alana's openly gay uncle attempts to help the young beauty pageant queen-wannabe prepare for her upcoming pageant... yup, let the hilarity commence.
Although the first season of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" is officially over, no worries! The Thompson gang has signed on to film more episodes for a second season... so fans, prepare yourselves for some more hilarious "Honey Boo Boo" one-liners, coming soon.
