Cat Deeley Engaged 2012: Marries Patrick Kielty in Top-Secret Weekend Rome Wedding Ceremony
Cat Deeley, host of the popular television dance competition "So you Think you can Dance," married hubby Patrick Kielty in a top-secret, private wedding ceremony in Rome over the weekend. The two began dating earlier in 2012, but 35-year-old Deeley kept the engagement (and now actual wedding) on the down-low for months. Us Weekly reports the couple tied the knot on Sunday, Sept. 30.
Deeley and her television personality/comedian fiancé Kielty exchanged vows at St. Isidore's College Church in Rome. The intimate ceremony was very small and private, with only about 60 guests (close friends and family, with very few celebrity appearances) flown in for the event. Kielty's family parish priest Father Gary Donegan was also flown to Rome to officiate the matrimony.
"It was the most beautiful, gorgeous, chic and romantic wedding I've ever been to," one source close to Deeley told Us, "The whole thing was sprung on the guests at the last minute, but you can tell a lot of time had gone into the planning."
"Cat was stunning, she looked absolutely beautiful and the reception afterwards was pretty quiet too by normal standards," another insider tells The Sun.
The couple, deemed PatCat, had been dating 10 months before officially tying the knot. Deeley dated businessman Mark Whelan for quite some time before supposedly hooking up with other Hollywood big-names, including Leonardo DiCaprio (which Cat denies), Jack Huston, and "True Blood" actor Michael McMillian. Kielty (from Northern Ireland) has starred in a number of U.K comedy stints.
