Anastasiya Shpagina: New 'Real-Life Anime Barbie' Hates being Compared to a Doll [PHOTOS]
Anastasiya Shpagina - the 19-year-old Ukrainian woman recently labeled by popular media as the "Real-Life Anime Girl," the "New Barbie," and even "Real-Life Barbie Doll Valeria Lukyanova's New BFF." While Shpagina enjoys her international status and fame as the "real-life anime girl" living life as her fantasized Japanese moniker Fukkacumi, she hates being referred to as a "living doll." According to Shpagina, "I am not like a doll, a doll is like me."
Shpagina has gained a wide following on her public Facebook page, which features photos of the pint-sized, long silky-haired, wide-eyed Anime look-alike. Many fans of the popular Japanese cartoons laud Shpagina for just how eerily similar she looks compared to the infamous computer animated characters. Her YouTube account also features many videos, interviews, and Anime tutorials, which are racking up views like crazy.
Even as a small child, Shpagina admits that she loved to look in the mirror and experiment with makeup. Soon she became an avid fan of Anime cartoons and culture, and began using her advanced makeup skills to transform herself into her own idealized version of a real-life Anime character. Her Japanese moniker came to be known as Fukkacumi. While cosmetics have greatly helped to transform Shpagina's look into Fukkacumi, it supposedly isn't enough for the diehard Anime fan - rumors have it she is looking into surgery to enhance her eyes and is even attempting to lose weight to appear more like a genuine Anime figure (she already weighs in at a slender 85 pounds).

Shpagina has opened up about her real-life Anime look in many interviews with Ukranian news and gossip outlets. The aspiring hairdresser claims that a lot of people are freaked out and give her weird when they pass her on the streets of her hometown in Odessa. Even so, she thoroughly enjoys bumping into Japanese tourists more familiar with the Anime world (although the language barrier proves somewhat of a hassle).
While Shpagina recently went on a photo-shooting spree with fellow "real-life Barbie doll" Valeria Lukyanova, she is not thrilled compared to being a doll herself. Shpagina believes her look is unique and one-of-a-kind, nothing like a plastic and boring Barbie doll.
