'Real' VH1 Star Ahmad Givens Dead at 35 After Long Battle With Cancer

MStars News has learned that Real Chance of Love star, Ahmad Givens died after a long battle with colon cancer. Givens also known as "Real" was only 35-years-old.

According to People, Givens brother Kamal, who went by "Chance" on the VH1 show revealed the sad news via Instagram.

Chance wrote early Saturday morning along with the photo below: "By to my favorite guy in this whole world be in peace we love you forever bro I'll see you one day soon we shall dance again in God's kingdom forever and ever bro words can't describe my pain world pray for me!"

The brothers were contestants in the hit VH1 2007 show, I Love New York, and were successful with their own spin-off reality dating show in 2008 called Real Chance of Love.  

Kamal added another photo, this time of his handsome brother, who was known for his long soft hair, and sweet personality while on realtiy TV.

The snapshot read: "R.I.P. Mahdi we love you forever I know your in a better place I just ask lord to give me the strength to survive this world with out you till we meet again your brother Kamal."

MStars News previously learned of Givens illness after he was told he had stage 4 colon cancer back in 2013. Givens leaves behind one son, Madhi, and his wife, Racquel, along with family, friends, and fans.

During an interview (seen below) Givens talked about living with cancer, and what helped him continue to fight for his life.

"Number one is the will to live. I love life. And my little boy, man. That kid loves me to death," Real added, "I grew up in a neighborhood where African-American boys didn't have their fathers in the house and I always told myself, 'When I get married one day and have kids, [I'm] going to be there for my kids and that's a vow that I made and that's a vow that I plan on keeping and that's what keeps me fighting."

Givens also said: "For my son, I want him to know that his father did everything that he could to provide the best life for him. That his father was there for him, that his father was honest. Through my son my legacy will continue."
