Tiffany Webb, a popular guidance counselor at a New York City high school, was fired from her job (a title which she held for 12 years) because of sexy, racy modeling pictures that surfaced of her online - images that were snapped over 17 years ago. Webb claims that the scantily clad lingerie and bikini photos were taken almost two decades ago when she was pursuing a modeling career in her youth - information that she clearly disclosed to her former employer when first hired by the city as an educator. Now, Webb is ready to sue New York City's Department of Education in an attempt to get her job back.

Webb started working as a guidance counselor at the Murry Bergtraum High School for Business Careers in Manhattan in 1999 at the age of 25. Now 37, Webb insists that none of her modeling photos were taken during her time as a teacher (she only modeled between the ages of 18-20). Even so, the city's DOE decided to give her the boot for improper conduct just days before Webb was about to achieve tenure in her position.

"The inappropriate photos were accessible to impressionable adolescents," a chancellor's committee ruled, according to the New York Post. "That behavior has a potentially adverse influence on her ability to counsel students and be regarded as a role model."

Webb thinks differently - believing that her positive track record and respect from both students and parents should lend credibility to her being a sufficient school guidance counselor. Webb sees herself as a great role model - she carries a doctorate in clinical psychology and wrote for "The Black Urban Times" back in in 2008. She also hosts YouTube's "Girl Talk NYC," which gives viewers "a sneak peek into the lives of women and their secret thoughts, feelings and conversations with each other"

Last winter, a student showed ex-principal Andrea Lewis a photo of Webb "modeling" from the internet, prompting the school committee to vote in favor of firing Webb 2-1.

Since being fired, Webb has changed her name (it used to be spelled "Tiffani") and is now teaching in New Jersey.

After a quick search on the Interwebs, however, it appears that the counselor was also known as Tiffani Webb and was talking about modeling as recently as 2008. Writing for The Black Urban Times, she did admit that she was finished with modeling work and wanted to serve as a role model for young women who aspired to enter the profession. Webb is also the host of YouTube talk show series "Girl Talk NYC."

Even with the sexy photos scandal looming in New York, Webb has is suing the city's DOE for wrongful termination and sexual discrimination. She wants her name cleared so that she can one day return to teaching in NYC:

"I am a dedicated professional and enjoyed being a guidance counselor," Webb told the Post. "I did my job well, and my students and parents thought very highly of me. I would love to return to the DOE and resume the career I have chosen to help and guide students."
