Chris Matthews Meltdown Over Obama's 'Lackluster' Presidential Debate Performance Mocked in SNL Skit [VIDEO]

Chris Matthews, host of MSNBC's "Hardball with Chris Matthews," has been widely criticized for his on-air meltdown over President Barack Obama's rather lackluster performance during the first round of the 2012 Presidential Debates earlier this month. Matthews' viral "rage" against Obama was recently mocked in a hilarious SNL skit, where funny guy Jason Sudeikis portrays an extremely angry and agitated (yet riotous) Matthews.

Before going any further, check out Matthews' initial meltdown here:

In the SNL skit, Matthews (Sudeikis) joins Al Sharpton (Kennan Thompson), S.E. Cupp (herself), and host Rachel Maddow (Cecily Strong) to discuss their reactions to the first round of Presidential Debates. In typical Matthews fashion, Sudeikis constantly interrupts the others with his loud and demanding opinions. Sudeikis rants on and on about the event that Maddow (Strong) deems "The Worst Thing That Happened Anywhere." At one point Sudekis exclaims, "Why was [Obama] letting Governor Romney talk? He forgot the first rule of debating - always be interrupting. When I don't have points to make on my show, I make up for it by screaming at people. That's how you win a debate." Sharpton (Thompson) adds a big dose of laughs to the segment also - he humorously suggests that maybe a bizarre "Freaky Friday-esque" scenario occurred backstage before the event, where Obama and Romney mystically switched bodies.
