Tamra Barney Judge and her ex-husband, Simon Barney, had to make a tough decision yesterday in the custody battle over their 16-year-old daughter, Sidney. While the case has been going on for a while, The Real Housewives of Orange County star gave up custody of her daughter and is now speaking out about the difficult decision.

Judge took to her Facebook page to explain the situation to her fans.

"My family means everything to me and NO it is not perfect all the time," the star wrote. "Sometimes you have to make the hardest decision in your life to make someone you love happy. You have to put it in God's hands and believe in your heart that they will understand what you went through and the sacrifices you made for their happiness."

According to Radar Online, Simon has received full custody of Sidney while Tamra will have visitation rights every other weekend and one day a week from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Another clause in the document states that Sidney can also decide on other times to spend with her mom, should she want to see the reality star more often.

Judge also reached out to All Things Real Housewives where she went into more details surrounding the case.

"Simon and I came to terms outside of court. We both want what's best for our daughter, her happiness is what matters most," the star told the news site. "Sidney's wish was to have her main residence at her dad's. She is 16 and can chose where she wants to live."
