Just because the CW show is currently on hiatus, that doesn't mean the cast of The Flash has stopped working. Jesse L. Martin (Joe West), Rick Cosnett (Eddie Thawne), and Carlos Valdes (Cisco Ramon) are working together on a Kickstarter page, to setup their short film, The Letter Carrier.

In our recent recap, Martin Stein (Victor Garber) explained his theory of time-travel to Barry Allen (Grant Gustin). There is a hole in the time continuum, but Barry believes he is destined to fail his mother on the night of her murder by the Reverse Flash. After rescuing Firestorm (Robbie Amell) from General Wade Eiling (Clancy Brown), Barry realized he has a chance to change things if he's meant to go back in time.

Danielle Panabaker (Caitlin Snow) writes on her official Twitter account, "Check out the kickstarter for the short film some of our Flash family is working on!"

Gustin adds on Twitter, "The @TLCProduction Kickstarter just kicked off this morning. Let's help #JesseLMartin & @RickCosnett."

According to the Kickstarter page, Martin has written the script and will co-direct with Cosnett. Valdes will compose and arrange the music. The 10 minute short film will shoot on location in the mountains of British Columbia. The rewards include a signed copy of the script, Producer's credit, and a Thank You shout out from the cast on Instagram.

The plot synopsis follows a mother who hides her family from slavery in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The children have grown up with a tale of a man known as "The Letter Carrier." While roaming the mountains, the Letter Carrier looks for children to sell as slaves. The short film will be told through a cappella song, using original folk music, and a score using only natural sounds.

As we previously mentioned, the 2015 Saturn Awards have released their full list of nominees. For the first-time ever, the award organization created a special category to consider television series based on comic book super heroes.

Wentworth Miller, who has shown up twice as Captain Cold, earned a nomination for Best Guest Performance in a Television Series. For taking on the lead role, Gustin is nominated for Best Actor in a Television Series. The show itself is being considered for Best Superhero Adaptation Television Series.

The Flash returns from hiatus on the CW March 18, Tuesday at 8pm.
