Watch Michael Bolton’s ‘Office Space’ Audition on Funny or Die [VIDEO]

Why is this happening? We have no idea, but we're thrilled it did. Today, it looks like Michael Bolton has taken a second career outside of selling records and performing his songs to star in humorous Honda commercials, Saturday Night Live skits (okay, just one enjoyable Captain Jack Sparrow bit) and now this random video with Funny or Die. The below piece shows Bolton's "audition" for the famed cult classic Office Space, which, of course, held a character with the same name as the iconic singer.

Funny or Die is coining the video as Bolton's official audition for the 1999 Mike Judge film.

By recreating several scenes in Office Space in which other cast members bring up the character's unusual name, the singer was able to fit seamlessly into each bit.

And maybe rather surprisingly, he did a stellar job.

Props to Bolton for having no problem calling himself an "a$$clown" –– can we all agree?

After the video dropped, Bolton took to Twitter to explain to Judge that he should have initially gotten the part of Michael Bolton.
