After comedian John Mulaney's FOX series Mulaney was canceled, the world of comedy was left with a heavy void needing to be filled. Luckily, it's being reported that former Saturday Night Live player, and co-star of the now defunct FOX show, Nasim Pedrad, will be filling our holes –– we mean voids. Anyway, word has it that the comedian has nabbed herself a deal with FOX to write, star and create her own series.

The Hollywood Reporter is bringing us the news of Pedrad's holding deal with 20th Century Fox Television.

Along with this deal and her appearances on Mulaney, Pedrad has kept busy working on an array of television shows––becoming a series regular on Scream Queen as well as earning a recurring role on FOX's Zooey Deschanel-led show New Girl.

On Pedrad's new deal at FOX, the network's president of creative affairs Jonnie Davis recently said, "Nasim's an undeniable creative force in front of the camera and a brilliant writer/producer behind the camera. We've long admired her work on SNL and Mulaney, and we think she'll be hugely valuable to us on the comedy side."

And if you were one of the fans who watched Mulaney, you'd probably be quick to agree that she was one of the best, if not the best, part of the series.

Take a look at some of our favorite Pedrad clips below:

So, what is the comedian thinking through all of this? Well, according to her Instagram account, she's sleeping pretty easy.
