‘Empire’ Taraji P. Henson, ‘Birdman’ Michael Keaton to Host ‘SNL’ After Terrence Howard FOX Season Finale

It's being reported that Empire's very own Taraji P. Henson – who plays Cookie Lyon on the famed Terrence Howard-led FOX series – will host Saturday Night Live in April. Before her debut performance, however, Birdman star Michael Keaton will step to the iconic NBC stage for the third time on April 4. The announcements come after Empire rounded out its very first season, which needless to say was an absolute hit, and after Birdman received numerous Academy Awards, including the win for Best Picture. Though, of course, it's hard to forget that whole putting-away-the-acceptance-speech-when-you-didn't-win thing that Keaton did, or did not, do.

TV Line is reporting on the new host announcement, stating that Henson will make her debut this coming April 11. She will be accompanied by musical guest Mumford & Sons, who have appeared on the sketch show once before.

Keaton will be joined by singer Carly Rae Jepson. The "Call Me Maybe" singer will be making her SNL debut.
