Comedian Tig Notaro is hitting the road, folks. Well... she already did alongside stand up Jon Dore, but the special is now airing on Showtime. Well... it will air on Showtime this coming April 17. Set as a documentary called Knock Knock, It's Tig Notaro, the Showtime special follows the two comedians as they perform in fans' homes and backyards. Notaro, of course, is the host of the popular podcast Professor Blastoff, and made headlines some time ago when she was diagnosed with cancer and released her oh, so personal special Tig Notaro LIVE – which detailed exactly what she was going through during her trying time.

The below trailer shows both Notaro and Dore visiting various areas and backyards of the country, performing their unique acts, which we can imagine only help in heightening the hilarity of the documentary.

Described on Showtime's site as, "Documentary that follows deadpan comedian Tig Notaro across the country as she puts on a series of stand-up performances in the homes, backyards, barns and basements of her most loyal fans, with each intimate show offering the potential for epiphany or disaster," it looks like both Notaro and Dore have crafted out a very, very unique niche of success with this film.

The special airs on Showtime this coming Friday, April 17 at 9 p.m.
