"Dancing with the Stars" competitor Kirstie Alley has a new tell-all memoir entitled "The Art of Men," which chronicles the starlet's avid love life marked by failed marriages and several romantic affairs. In a recent interview with ABC's Barbara Walters, Alley opens up about her not-so-secret romance adventures - not only did she fall in love and have a short fling with actor Patrick Swayze on the set of "North and South," but the 61-year-old admits that co-star John Travolta is her "greatest love" and it took everything in her power to not run off and marry him. The former "Cheers" actress also discusses her fluctuating weight and how it directly affects her confidence - all in all, the interview is indeed "wild."

Alley opens up about her first failed marriage to high school sweetheart Bob Alley in her new book, "The Art of Men (I Prefer Mine al Dente)." Apparently Patrick Swayze may have had a little something to do with it. Alley confides to Walters that the two romantically hit it off while filming the 1985 movie "North and South." Alley claims Swayze wanted Alley to get a divorce from her husband and marry him, but Alley wouldn't do it - "I probably was more willing to break up my marriage, and I wasn't willing to break up his marriage," the actress said.

However, it was a man by the name of Jake who really broke up Alley's first marriage. The "Look Who's Talking" star told "Entertainment Tonight" correspondent Chris Jacobs on Monday that although she never had sex with Jake, the "affair of the heart" was "worse than cheating" and ultimately "destroyed [her] marriage" - "I think it gets worse when you fall in love with someone else when you're with someone and you're plotting and you're planning. What I did do with Jake was I kissed him. In my world -- in Kirstie world -- that meant I had to get a divorce. Because that was unethical and that was infidelity to me."

On a lighter note, Alley gushes about her longtime friend and co-star John Travolta as the true "greatest love of her life":

"Believe me, it took everything that I had inside, outside, whatever, to not run off and marry John and be with John for the rest of my life... [But I didn't] because I feel like when you marry someone, you're supposed to work hard at it and you're supposed to make it work."

(After her divorce from Alley, Kirstie married actor Parker Stevenson. It was a rather turmoltuous relationship - the duo split up many times before officially divorcing in 1997. They currently share custody of two adopted children).

And as for the rumors about Travolta being gay?

"I know John. With all my heart and soul, he's not gay. I think it's some weird way, in Hollywood, if someone gets big enough and famous enough, and they're not out doing drugs and they're not womanizing, what do you say about them?"

Alley insists that none of her love affairs involve sex... her latest flirtatious conquest? Her "DWTS" partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy. But the two are strictly friends who happen to spend a lot of time together in the dance studio.

Alley also dishes about her fluctuating weight - and explains how constantly losing then gaining pounds strongly impacts her love life:

"When I gained weight the first time and then I lost the weight, I mean, that was OK. I gained it once, I lost it. And then I gained it again, and I thought, 'Oh, Lord, is this going to be the pattern of the rest of my life?' ... Maybe there were people who wanted to have sex with me, but I certainly didn't want to have sex with them in that condition."

But this time around, Alley has managed to keep off the weight and looks better than ever. It seems the release of "The Art of Men" is another attempt by Alley to reinvent herself in a fresh and exciting way:

"I think I'm wild," she told Walters. "I consider myself very eccentric. ... I could honestly be sitting here with you right now while there were 10 cats jumping on the table and jumping on our heads. I think that's pretty eccentric."
