Kristen Stewart Hints at 'Snow White and the Huntsman' Sequel, Even Following Director Rupert Sanders Affair Scandal?
Rumors first had it that Universal Studios was in talks to produce a sequel to the hit 2012 fantasy film "Snow White and the Huntsman" - a film which would not include leading actress Kristen Stewart. Following 22-year-old Stewart's highly controversial and publicized love affair with "Snow White" director Rupert Sanders, reports began circulating that producers didn't want the "Twilight" alum back on the set for a second movie. But those rumors can now be laid to rest - it looks like Stewart is totally interested in taking part in the sequel, and Universal is happy to take her back. Wonder what Robert Pattinson thinks about that?
During a press conference in promotion of the highly-anticipated final installation of the "Twilight" movie series, "Breaking Dawn - Part 2," Stewart told the Hollywood Reporter when asked about the possibility to star in a "Snow White and the Huntsman" sequel - "No one's positive or anything, but I think there's a strong possibility."
Rumors first had it that a "Snow White" sequel would not even include Stewart's character (Snow White), but would focus on the continued story of Chris Hemsworth's main character, Eric the Huntsman.
A rep for Universal recently confirmed to E! News that K.Stew is very much still a part of the "SWATH" franchise, although she was never officially attached to a second film.
Universal Studios has yet to comment on the rumors, and no word yet on what director Rupert Sander's involvement would be.
Earlier this summer, seedy photos surfaced of Stewart getting cozy and hooking up with 41-year-old Sanders (K-Stew was still dating longtime beau Robert Pattinson at the time, and Sanders was actually married). Once the affair was ousted, both Stewart and Sanders were harshly ridiculed and criticized by the public. Things have since settled down, and it looks like Stewart and R-Patz are attempting to patch things up romantically (both are out promoting "Breaking Dawn - Part 2," which hits theaters Nov. 16).
