5 Reasons To Watch T.J. Miller Thomas Middleditch's 'Silicon Valley' Season 2 Premiere On HBO! [WATCH]
From the comedic mind of Mike Judge (Beavis and Butt-head), HBO is set to premiere Season 2 of Silicon Valley. Erlich Bachman (T.J. Miller), Richard Hendriks (Thomas Middleditch), and the rest of the tech gang are back to build their startup business, Pied Piper.
As we previously mentioned, Richard (Middleditch) developed a revolutionary data compression algorithm. Unfortunately, competing business, Hooli, wanted that algorithm but Richard wouldn't sell it to them. It was a race to the finish line, as Richard and his friends tried to get their cloud storage platform working for the live TechCrunch event.
Here are 5 reasons why you should be watching the second season of Silicon Valley:
5) Office Space
Children of the '90s remember the badly drawn but no-holds-barred Beavis and Butt-Head cartoons. Then creator Mike Judge turn the tables with his animated family sitcom, King of the Hill. With Silicon Valley, Judge puts his comedic touch on tech companies and programmers as he spoofs his previous days as a Silicon Valley engineer in the 1980s.
4) Hud
T. J. Miller stole the show in the sci-fi/found footage flick, Cloverfield. As the weed-loving Elrich, Miller takes the spotlight with his expletive rants and slacker attitude. Definitely one to watch, the Big Hero 6 voice actor will be the fan-favorite comic book character, Weasel, in the highly anticipated Deadpool.
3) Signaling Risk
The best episode of first episode, in this writer's opinion, is Signaling Risk. Erich had the running gag, "Was that racist?" Gilfoyle (Martin Starr) and Dinesh (Kumail Nanjiani) were competing with each other to see who was the fastest and smartest. It also marked Christopher Evan Welch's final episode as Peter Gregory, leaving an indelible benchmark to wonderful career. The satirical episode ended with the graffiti artist making the best logo for Pied Piper, which looks similar to Facebook and Instagram.
2) The Group Dynamic
When you put Martin Starr, T.J. Miller, Kumail Nanjiani, and Thomas Middleditch in a room together, you absolutely have comedic gold. These comedic actors are brilliant together with their timing and memorable one-liners. With an appealing cast, not a single take is wasted as they all deliver solid laughs.
1) Optimal Tip-To-Tip Efficiency
During the first season finale, at TechCrunch, the engineers at Hooli had worked backwards and successfully copied Richards' algorithm; even making it better. My favorite episode, I personally laughed out loud when Richard suddenly found inspiration when Elrich bet he could jerk off everyone in the room. I was dying on the floor when Gilfoyle (Martin Starr) and Dinesh (Kumail Nanjiani) joined in, making a mathematical equation of the raunchy scenario. How is Mike Judge going to top this?
