According to a recent Gawker report, hundreds of individuals flocked to a broken ATM in Glasgow, Scotland that was dishing out free cash - the malfunctioning machine was feeding out double the amount of withdrawals! And thanks to the popular social networking site Twitter, word of the free-flowing money spread fast last week. The Bank of Scotland ATM was eventually reset after police were made aware of the situation - but not before a massive line of eager customers managed to spread down the block!

After the Bank of Scotland promptly shutdown the malfunctioning ATM, it released a statement that claims the national bank the branch would soon be in contact with "any customers who have been affected" by the machine. In other words, the bank can most likely trace back the debit card numbers of all the individuals that managed to snag some free cash during the chaos. Even so, one inside rep insists, "It will be difficult to trace the cash because not everyone who used the machine will be our customers. So it's unlikely that any further action will be taken."

One Twitter user at the scene posted - '"The bank of Scotland at Burnside was giving out double money now police are standing there so no one can go to it #gutting."

Approximately 200 individuals walked away with some free cash before police got involved.

So Mstarz readers, would you have taken advantage of the free cash from the broken ATM?
