FX's 'The Strain' Season 2 Spoilers: Will Guillermo Del Toro "Trust" Corey Stoll In New Promo?
With Season 2 of The Strain already in production, FX has already released two all-new promos for the horror/vampire thriller. Based on Guillermo Del Toro's bestselling novels, published by Dark Horse Comics, can Ephraim Goodweather (Corey Stoll) and Nora Martinez (Mia Maestro) "trust themselves" as they fight to save the world from The Master?
The first season followed Ephraim Goodweather (Stoll) and Nora Martinez (Maestro) as they discovered a deadly vampire plague spreading across New York City. As they search for a cure, an old and retired vampire hunter, Abraham Setrakian, (David Bradley) and a rat exterminator, Vasiliy Fet (Kevin Durand), join the crusade to defeat the ancient evil. They must all work together to save the world from The Master and his minions, including Thomas Eichorst (Richard Sammel).
As we previously mentioned, the 2015 Saturn Awards released their full list of nominees. The Game of Thrones actor and the Inglorious Basterds actor, who play life-long enemies on the show, have both been nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Television Series. The horror series itself has garnered a nomination for Best Syndicated/Cable Television Series.
According to IGN, two short teaser videos have been released. Both feature an ordinary-looking person slowly transforming into a blooduscker. We await news of an official premiere date.
